okay guys, I have a big 16g with a 6cm housng that is cracked.

I know the evo flows 25cfm more, but would it worth selling my b16g to get the evo with the ported 7cm housing??

I know its kinda of a lame question but would i feel it on the butt dyno??

The reason i'm considering this is because the last turbo i'll buy is a 20g, but in the mean time i'd something with a little more pop!!

Thanks for the space.

OK so you know for a fact you will want a 20g later, why buy an evo3, jsut go right to the 20g.

Yeah you're right, but the cost of the exernal gate and the 1k turbo is a lot of money, especially since i'm still looking for an eprom ecu

Here are your options:

1) You could get an internally gated 20G :sneaky:

2) You could get a EVO III 16G turbo, weld the internal gate shut and get a 38mm external tail gate (on the manifold), and build your mods around it, so when the time comes, all you have to do is put in the 20G. OR

3) Get a new 6cm, 7cm or 7cm Evo housing for your turbo from Forced Performance. They sell it for $245. Why get a new turbo when only the housing is cracked?? Check it out ...

Does anyone know if the internal gated 20g holds boost well?? I don't want damn creep issues like all the evo3 owners seem to be having!!!!

The only creepin issues I had with my EVO3 was when I was around 12lbs of boost and my boost control next to a heat source i.e radiator or shroud/ exhaust manifold/ valve cover.
Then I bumped it up to 14lbs and moved the boost control onto my pass. side wheel well and I haven't had any problems.
