I am running an evo 3 16g, 550cc injectors, AFPR 37psi, 2G MAF, and just to get my car running I had to set my safc to +13 Low, and +25 High just to get the car going. So I wanted to post this up as general info because when I was looking I could not find much. Now for my question, why size injectors would everyone recommend. RRE told me I should go for 660's and also said that 720's would be good also.

So I am really thinking that 720's would be good, but I think that tuning will be a bi***. So any suggestions would be great.

Also I am going to run 18psi on the street and 26psi at the track. I am also planning on upgrading the turbo once I have had my fun with the 16g. I am trying to take baby steps, I am not going to just jump into a big ass turbo.

are you using the SAFC or SAFCII?

if youre on the SAFC1 do you have the hi/low set up correctly? i believe you have to have the low side at 0, and the high side at 65. the SAFC2 hi/low is 30/80.

my buddy had the same problem when we did his safc1 with the 30/80 throttle setup. it wouldnt run for shit, and we were tuning in the + range. then we found the safc1 is little different than the safc2, we fixed the hi/low and it ran fine.

SAFC 1
30/80

I will try the 0/65 and see how that works out on my drive home tonight. Thanks for the help.

You can turn up the fuel pressure a bit and lean it out. That would bring your injector duty cylce way down. M brother runs about 45 psi of base pressure with his 550's, 2g mas, and big 16g. Duty cylce is about 88% at 21 psi. SAFC settings are right around 0. But upgrading to 660's or 720's is a good idea. Just rememer that if you go over 660's the safc cant really control them very well and you will need a chip.

honestly, does this belong in the 2g n/t section? bump your base pressure to get a bit more from those injectors
