16g flaper housing has a small crack

hey my 16g has a small crack next to the wastgate flapper do i need to replace my housing now.

you dont NEED to replace but it could cause problems like slower spool times. my 16G has a couple , no biggie.

It all depends on how big the cracks are. If its really small then it shouldnt really effect anything, but if its deep then you should replace it.

My old 14B had two cracks in the same area. Performance-wise it felt just like any 14B on a 1G so I don't think you have much to worry about unless you are noticing decreased response & spool-up.

I've never personally seen a used 14B/16G without any cracks in the exhaust housing. Unless they're Grand Canyon-sized, don't worry about them.
