what should i do with my t25 turbo i blew the staft moves up and down a little but if you push on the exhuast turbine screw and the intake turbine screw you can move it back and forth about an inch. should i just throw it away or were can i get it rebuilt at the intake blades are ####ed

buy a new one and leave it at that. either go 14b for money wise or upgrade dont waste time rebuilding your 25 its not worth it.

i already have a evobig16g so i really dont need it. just wanted to no what i should do with it. you know it kinda hurts to throw a turbo away

You could always have it upgraded to a big T28.
I am in the same situation, I just put a 14b, and I was wondering if I can turn my old t25 into a t28, or would it just cost too much money? If it isn't to much it would be worth upgrading it to a t28, then I would have a sleeper turbo :shhh:

So does any one know what it will take, and how much it might cost do upgrade it to a T28?

You are going to want to check your oil pressure with a real gauge to ensure the turbo is getting proper oiling. My buddy with a 2G just wasted his T-25 and I sold him my 14B which had zero shaft play and it was wasted in little under 3 hours. Pulled much harder than that T-25 did but thier is definitly an oil pressure problem. We are going to pull the oil pan and check the oil squirters and Balance Shaft bearings as those are the 2 main culprits for low oil pressure other than a worn out oil pump.

I'm just giving you a heads up. I think that is the main reason people go through turbo's is their is a oiling problem that will pump oil to the turbo but it's enough pressure. Oil Squirters on 2g's are known to stick open and the balance shaft bearings are known to fall out once people start rapping out their motors on a more frequent basis.

How much pressure should it be getting?

Also, did your friend run the oil feed from the head or the filter assembly? Mine is from the filter.

I don't have the spec sheets for the 14b. The 1g 7bolts use the oil feed from the head so I would think the 2g's could as well. That is what we did. But the T-25 was just fine a week before it went. It went in a hurry and so did the 14B. We know it was getting oil as it had a small leak. It's not to hard to drop the oil pan and the insurance is always nice. Hard to tell about the oil squirters, But you could remove than and have them cleaned out and reinstall them. I'm a fan of running oil squirters, but not balance shafts.
