t25 needs rebuild, plus how much boost?

hi i bought a t25 turbo for my 1990 eclipse. i needa to rebuild it. i found a kit to rebuild the turbo, but i was wondering if there is anything i should do as in like do i have to balance the shaft or.... and i never seen nuts like the ones holding the turbine down. where can i get a socket to fit that. and wut would b the max boost i could run after its rebuilt.

First time i hear of a person with a 1g putting on a T25. Why didn't you get a 14B? Anyway to answer your question yes you need to have the turbo balanced. As for boost the limits of the t25 is around 15-18psi. Anything above 15psi is worthless so you know. Hope this helps and good luck

Wouldn't call it worthless, its been dyno proven with the right mods the turbo makes horsepower utpo 22psi. I ran 18 psi when I was all stock with just a k&n, car pulled a little bit harder at 18 then 15.

However, you have a nt 1g, so the boost is going to be different because you have higher compresion pistons.

Were you able to hold 18psi to redline? In most cases it would drop off at upper rpms.

Nop, it'd be down to 14psi by 6500.
