I'm a cheep guy, but UIPs are so cheep these days it's crazy to want to make your own (unless you have some custom routing in mind).

If you add up the cost of Pipes, BOV flange, welding and powder coating (excludes your time for fitment/build), I'd be suprised if you broke even.

just my .02 :dsm:

Buy one, save yourself alot of headache with fitment issues.

I bought one from RRE. It comes powdercoated gray with a Greddy flange. I believe it was less than $100.

I would imagine Ebay would have something cheaper.

This isn't always necessarily true. Due to the businesses of different family members I have access to nearly free stainless steel tubing, free welding and free powdercoating. For certain people, it can definitely be cheaper to build your own. That being said, if the original poster does not have these resources then I completely agree with everyone else who has posted. And to actually answer your post; I don't know of any walkthrough's for building your own custom UICP with ABS, but you have a few options. If you're going to be building this yourself, you obviously should have some know-how of what you're doing. Just make most of the pipe the same, and then modify the upper section to curve around and clear the ABS controller in the engine bay.
