Ok i got this turbo thru a trade... its the Big 17c turbo. I've heard its rare and all. And is supposed to be better then the Big 16g. It's for sale right now because I don't know how hard it would be to put it on.

What would i need to do a swap from my t28 to this 17c turbo? ? ?

Install kit? New Lines?

My main focus is if i will be needing a new manifold ! ? Does it bolt right up ?

Can you post pictures of it ?It should just bolt right on like a 16 G you would need a j pipe and a few misc lines but post pics so we can tell you for sure
 
yes that will bolt onto your stock manfold but you'll need to get a wastegate actuator

BTW what kind of wheels are those ? they look good

you can use the stock o2 housing ..you dont need a j pipe ... im not sure on the lines
and it looks like you can use a factory 16 G wastegate acuator on that im not 100% sure on that though
 
It will not bolt onto a stock dsm exhaust mani. the 17c is a tdo6 housing and uses a different bolt pattern, you need an adapter plate. I know this because I have one myself. I never did use it though because when I bought it I thought it was better than a big 16g and later found out it isnt and did a 6bolt swap with a 14b instead. Then over the winter I bought a Holset to throw on. So now I also have a 17c id sell with an adapter plate.
 
The 17c is the stock turbo on the Syclone/Typhoon. The turbine wheel is a TD06, if it's straight off a SY/TY it wont bolt, but you can just use a mitsu-style housing machined for a TD06 wheel. From his pics, it looks like thats what he had already. The 17c wheel is similar in size to a B16G, but that doesn't mean it's better. The "G" series wheels (13g/16g/18g/20g) are Mitsu's better wheels. You can spot them easily because the blades are staggered, unlike the 14b/17c wheels, which have the same size blades all around. Back in the day, some people sold "Frank Jr" turbos with 17c and 19c wheels in TD05H comp. housings, claiming to flow more CFM than a 16g, but in reality they never really proved themselves.
 
im tryin to install this turbo, could someone tell me what all the hook ups and lines are and what they go it? it has a mitsubishi exh. housing side so it will bolt up i think.
