Would a S-AFC be a good choice for me with these mods?

I have quite a few mods done, but I am still running a 14b w/ 450cc injectors. What I want to know is if a S-AFC would provide any increase in performance as far as tuning the car goes. I know it can always help somewhat, but is there something that I should spend my money on first? I am hoping to have about $200 left over after Christmas so I don't really want to spend any more then that. A S-AFC would fit perfect in that budget. Here is a list of my engine and tuning mods...

Extreme MBC at 14psi (going to run hopefully 17 after fp install)
ACT2100
NGK plugs and wires
2.5" tubular o2 housing w/ external dump tube
Free mods
Ported 2g exhaust manifold
3" ABS intake w/ K+N
Removed balance shafts
EGR block off plate
Walbro 190
JDM 14b turbine housing ported to 7cm (externally dumped)
1G DDG BOV modification
Palm w/ MMCD logger

I am sure that there is more, but nothing big. So what do you think? Would a SAFC serve any purpose at the moment? My logs always look good as it is, but I am getting too little fuel without the fuel pump when I was running 15psi. I was pushing it at least.

What would you recommend insted of the AFC if I don't need one?

Thanks :thumb:

i have similar mods to your car and i just installed my safc I and i'm running 14bw/ 7cm turbine housing, 450's and a 255walbro. By 5300 rpms i was getting boost creep "set to 16psi---------->creeps to 19" but when i get the creep i get like 17counts of knock so i used the afc to richen the top end a bit. I would see the safc completly useless unless you have a Datalogger of some sort to see if your adjustments are making improvments. Also you can then use the safc to lean your car out with race gas at the track. If you don't have a logger, buy one and then the afc, they are best investment in mods.

In order for the SAFC really to do you any good, you need bigger injectors and a datalogger. I wouldn't worry about spending money on one until you have those things.
