What does correction mean? (SAFC)

I just recently got my eclipse tunned with the SAFC,and i know everything about it. But i dont know what correction means, can someone please exlpain what its doing on the SAFC.

The correction just displays the current amount of correction the SAFC is performing on the airflow signal.

Are you sure? Why would the SAFC need to correct itself. It seems the percentage either goes up or down depending on my rev and throttle. Hmm..its something simple i guess.

The SAFC is just following what was inputted into it.

Someone corrected the fuel at that RPM and the SAFC is doing just that.

Oh boy.

You said you knew how the SAFC worked... if you knew how it worked you would have understood that.

It's not a problem, and I would be happy to explain it, but please don't claim you know something when you don't.

It's not the SAFC correcting itself... it's the correction it's doing to the airflow signal, like I said.

This whole "seems to move with throttle and rev" thing kinda scares me... who is tuning your car?

I've kind of wondered about that as well. And not the correction factor like at 3000rpm it is -2% or whatever, but in the setup part (or is it in the "other") there is a setting for correction. It is like 3, 6, 10, 15, and 30. I am just guessing here tho, these numbers are most likely off, but its similar to that.

What changes to your tuning/driving does this setting make?

I had turbotrix do the tunning on my car, im assuming they did a good job b/c i gained 40HP from it. I never even went into the setting mode b/c it is kind of locked. But i would not mess with anything in the safc unless i know completly what i was doing.
