I've noticed Vishnu has a dyno graph of his stage 1 EVO kit with cam gears. http://www.vishnutuning.com/images/evo/Evo_camgears_01.jpg Looks like a noticeable gain can be had from cam gears on a 4G63. This could also be masked by a different tune, but this is the only dyno graph I've come up with.

I know there are gains to be had with adjusting cam timing. I use my car for both autox and drag racing and would like better bottom end power for autox, and more top end power for drag racing. It would be possible to put adustable cam gears on the car and degree them accordingly.

Has anyone done this and come up with good results? I see most people with adjustable gears on DSMs leave them set at zero. Anyone have settings for improved spool or better high RPM power?

Look up ProStreetOnline.com somewhere in the tech tips section they give some good guidelines for cam gear tuning.
