I went ahead and installed my AFC and 550's on the stock turbo just to get used to tuning and learn everything about it before I stepped up to a larger turbo. Everything seems to be going great. I have leaned everything out about 10-15%. My question is, my O2 voltage is reading .90-.99(from the AFC) and is burried green on the air/fuel guage at full throttle. The car feels strong but is this still too rich? What should my O2 be between??...since every car is different and I am nervous about going to lean

Thanks

i believe you should be at around .94/.92 across the board. don't pay any attention to the air/fuel gauge. they are kinda worthless unless you have an actual wide band air/fuel gauge. you could lean it out a bit, but seems like you are running alittle rich, won't do damage as if you were running lean. but every car is different u know.

turboEclips is right tune for .92-.94 volts at WOT. Do you still have the stock fuel pump??

Been through two of those Autometer A/F it looks good. There worthless in the reading.
don't pay any attention to it.
Get rid of it and get an EGT gauge.

The EGT guage is on the way. Thats why I was nervous to lean it out anymore. The O2 voltage reading on the AFC should be accurate though right? That is what I am basing my question off of.
Thanks

I am about to be putting my AFC in as soon as I get it as well. I am not sure how I should tune it the easy way. I saw earlier someone suggested -18% along the fuel curve... but I am not sure if it's so wise.

I do have a pocketlogger, but I'm not so sure how accurate it is since the numbers jump so much... there is also the 5 different settings... so should I just worry about 4K-7K range and watch the logger for knock and O2 at the highest end?

Is it true that you want the car to run leaner all along.. ie when tuning for crusing and idling, you have it just so the exhaust semi-pops/runs smooth?

Just a quick summary: 2g with full 3" exhaust, ported 14b, 190 fuel pump and mbc, everything else really stock (and of course all the free mods like wires and K&N). *no EGT gauge*

So you have an S-AFC, 550cc injectors, and a Walbro 255. Do you have an AFPR (adjustable fuel pressure regulator,) if not the Walbro could/ is overrunning your stock regulator. Do not get the B&M regulator, it is not worth it and will not solve the problem. As for the air/fuel gauge they are not accurate (without wideband o2 sensor, as stated above) and your EGT (when installed) will give better readings for tuning. As for the tuning issue, these guys got you covered.
