i noticed some vendors do things differently with their big16g turbos. one vendor said it has a bigger compressor housing, while another says it doesnt. both said they have bigger compressor wheels. what do you guys suggest. i am thinking about getting one with both the port and clip, but maybe not, maybe just the port or maybe just the turbo as is. what are your suggestions as far as whihc form of the turbo, and which vendor should i go with?

but whatever turbo you go with, make sure to clean or replace your feed line and return line for oil, especially if its a replacement for a siezed turbo.

Mod edit: shop plug removed.

Rick,

I would recommend the "newly discovered" "EVOIII 16G" instead, it is slightly bigger than the old "big 16G" and should spool just as quick as a small 16G.

Plus it has a MUCH BETTER exhaust housing!!! It will require little or no porting, making it roughly the same price as the plane old 16G's.

Most popular shops have them for about the same price, I would go with the shop that you like/trust most!
