MAFT w/ s-afc question...

I've read up on and still some question left... I heard that the gm maf w/ maft is considered "hot wire" and the s-afc "karman".. should i change the setting on the s-afc? and the other one.. i have the s-afc installed right now and im about to install the gm maf/maft.. should i leave the s-afc tune the way it is.. or should i zero everything out on the s-afc and tune the maft first then re-tune the s-afc? thanks for the help...

I believe you should leave the safc set on karman, as the translators job is to modify the hotwire signal into a karman reading. Set the safc to zero across the board and do the base tuning with the MAFT, and fine tuning with the safc. Read up on the dsm translator yahoo group for more info.
