I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the proper temp that I should be running at Idle and on the Freeway? I just installed a water temp guage just above the water temp guage. I am wondering if i have a busted guage or a Blown HG because on the street it is at like 200-210 and on the freeway it is like 240. My stock temp guage reads right smack in the middle on the freeway and below that on the street. Thanks

I was around 230 all the time with the stock thermo.

i put in a 170* thermo and now sit 186-189

Would you guys happen to know where the stock temp sensor is? Is it before or after the radiator? Thanks for your help

240 is too hot. Cool it down before you blow something up.

I try to keep mine under 200, without trouble usually.

the 170* did wonders for my timing even in this 106+ deg weather we are having in MO

I don't know if there are even oem numbers for those. Most likely not. Get one from oreillys, autozone or parts america. they all use the same brand "Stant"
