How much more boost to get to 11 sec?

My friend has a 1g with a T3/T4 60 trim and a big front mount that is running low 12's. His best run is a 12.2 on pump gas at 18 psi. How much more boost do you think is needed with race gas to get into the 11's. I was thinking only a few more pounds but am not sure. What do others in the 11's run for boost?

Going from pump gas to race gas he would probably gain the tenth or 2 right there, but at 22 psi he would be safe and do it easily. Id run 24 psi if he has good injectors and a good intercooler though.

With tuning, the switch should be enough.

But, why not just try this: Put in race gas, and turn the boost up 2 psi. If it doesn't run faster, turn it up again. Keep tuning it and turning it up until it goes real fast.

Thanks for the info. We will just put boost up a few pounds and re tune it.

C'mon, it's a 60 trim, raise it up to at least 25 psi where that thing should be.

Somewhere between 14 and 40 depending on how good you tune.
