General MAF translator and SAFC question

ive heard that the safc can be set up to where you can tune the maft from inside the car...correct me if im wrong.

I don't have a translator, but I'd say keep the SAFC. At first, put it to Zero, set the Translator for the correct injector size, and other things, tune it well with the translator, then do fine tuning with the safc.

At least thats what I would do.

if you go with a GM MAF do you even need the translator if your already running an SAFC? or do you just set it to a different MAF on the settings of the SAFC?

Yes, you need the translator. The signal coming from the GM sensor can't be "understood" by a Mitsu ECU. If you select a different type sensor, other than Karman, in the S-AFC the ECU definately will not understand it. You need to "translate" the signal to a Karman count/hertz that ECU can interpret.

PS
This should be a seprete question.
