I bought a performance chip on EBay for my 1995 Eclipse RS but I am skeptical about putting it in.. Can someone please give me their opinnion on wether or not it may be bad for my engine? This is the hyperlink to the Webage of the chip I purchased:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...8150&ed=1027984655&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOA:MT:2

The webpage says, " This chip taps into your computer and makes the computer think that colder air is coming in that what is really coming in, thus advancing the timing, enrichening the fuel mix which leads to more power! This mod will add 5-10 HP. This will not hurt your motor or affect your computer if its trying to retard timing because of detonation."

The seller claims it won't hurt my motor in any way but I prefer other opinnions! Thank you so much for your help!
