I am running a B16G and stock cbv.

well, I can see that. I bet that B16G is spooling up super fast. Some compressor wheels will surge, if they reach a certain boost before a certain airmass. At part throttle conditions, this seems to be what is happening. Is the CBV functioning properly. I would check it as well. Not really much you can do about the surge from the compressor wheel itself. Just kinda deal with it. I get some with my L2R.
