need help with apexi turbo timer

I have never used a turbo timer, but I must ask - does it automatically calculate the shut down time for your turbo based on rpm and wide open throttle? Did you run the car hard and spool the turbo at all? If not, then it probably is working just fine - not needing to take minutes to time down... If you're just turning it on and letting it run, then turning it off, there should be no cool down time... just a guess though.
 
i bought it off a guy and he didn't give me any input on the device, i can set it up for any time i need, i don't think by the desciption on a products site that it automatically sets itself. thanks. any other info would bo of help.
 
when you're just idling the car. what does it read on your TT?
The number displayed should be what it will count down after you get out of igII
 
i have a blitz Dual Turbo Timer...it operates on boost...however i also have the option to set the turbo timer automatically according to how long the ignition has been on. He sold it to you w/ the harness, correct? Did you connect the TT to the e-brake? If you did, sometimes...if you didn't tap the e-brake correctly -- the ignition will turn off really quick after you turn the key.

btw, how does ur stage 1 turbo kit run? in general that is...take it easy..and did you Recirc ur HKS BOV? I have a SSQV, didn't recirc it yet tho....juss put on my injen intake...and gotta mod it a lil so i can dump back into my intake.

my stage 1 works great, it gives me a ton of more pull than the stock engine, and works well with my other mods. i'm not quite sure what recirc means, call me stupid but does that mean recircle or something close to that? i don't know but i like the hole setup and the ssqv bov make the best sound. and i didn't even connect it to the e-brake yet because on the hardwiring instructions said that the e-brake wire is optional, but maybe i should try that!?
 
yea, recirc means recirculation --- basically means that the excess boost released by the blow off valve is dumped back into the intake -- to be reused by the engine. If you just type in "venting atmostphere" in the search engine of this site --- you'll find your answer to what recirculation is. take it easy.

Which apexi turbo timer do you have? Is it the little one with 4 different options for reading like, A/F, O2, Battery Voltage, and then timer? Do you have a 5speed or a Auto? Your going to have to connect the wire to the ebrake. That is most likely why it is dying after 3 seconds cause it does not detect the ebrake and shuts itself off.
