Wow, all for a fuel pump.
I see everyone's point here and figure I might as well jump in. Larry, you make a good point and you are right when you describe how you handle the repeated questions over and over again. You are right for you along with how other people are. I try to do the same but get tired sometimes, in which case, I let it slide and say nothing. Aslan, is brash, to the point and gets there through sarcasm or plain meanness (as some of you feel), and he is right for who he is. Sometimes I am like that too. Everyone is. It goes on the same way for everyone on this board. Each one of us is very different, in personality or knowledge, or idiocy or whatever. Aslan described himself to a T, that he pulls no punches an tells it how it is. He does that, and over the internet, he comes off as a d!ck to some people. But I bet if you saw him in person and asked a question like the fuel pump and he looked at you, cocked one eyebrow and said, "Let me get you some testosterone, Mary.", you'd laugh (well, I would). Then again, maybe he is a d!ck in person and you wouldn't laugh, but rather want to knock him out. Who cares. He gives you a perspective from a racers point of view. It costs money to race, do it right the first time, you'll hear od and annoying sounds, etc. that is his view. Most people here have daily drivers and want them plush AND fast, giving up little compromise if any, and don;' wnt to hear what Aslan has to offer. But what he has to offer in knowledge is worht it. i personally like both points of view. It is very valuable to hear both sides and I am truly seeing it first hand having a 2G kept nice and quick with comforts and lower noise levels and a 1G which is just loud, obnoxious and and faster and will eventually fly. Since day one no one has really like Aslan because since day one he has been himself, direct, sarcastic, etc etc. And since day one, everyone has come down on him, knowing how he is. We are all individuals. You don't need to like him. You don't need to answer his posts either. If you do, remember he is giving his opinion his way. Let it be. I personally laugh at his posts because they are funny since I guess we think the same way on some subjects. But most of all, I learn a lot from his posts, and that includes some educated replies to his posts from other people. Now I know this board strives for harmony, new people not being ostracized, abundance of info, etc, and that is awesome and why I am here. I like that. But you have o remember it just isn't possible 100% of the tim. You don't have to, nor will you ever get along with everyone. But you should know when to listen to someone, no matter how much of a d!ck you think they are. Just weed through the crap and get the valuable information.
Just my 2 cents that I can barely afford.
