Hey everyone one, I need help!! I drive a 95 eclipse freshly retimed new water pump stock injectors stock pump fuel rail. 16g turbo tubular header stock exhaust stock o2 housing. The car was running fine and I did a small burn out and then it bogged down and ran like shit so I thought ok boost leak. So I checked it out nope. Wasn't it everything was fine, so I messed with the Tps and other things. It kinda smoothed up so I drove it trying to get it home. If I would press down on the pedal anymore more than nessasaraie it would spit and sputter and the tach would go crazy like bounce from 1-9 thousand rpm and my afr were like 10 and it was running super rich. I can't figure it out, I put new spark plugs in it and everything. I even reset the Ecu. This car is my pride and joy and it i really hurt it let me know flat out so I can fix it.

Check the connection to the ICM. It's a rectanglular box behind the fuel rail.

The ignition control module. And my check engine light has been on due to a bad o2 I've changed it just never reset anything. Also my dash light where going on and off like my e-brake light when it wasn't pulled up. Windshield washer fluid light battery light. And the tach jumping to crazy numbers when the car was at idel.

You say you did a burn out and it started acting up?

From what your describing about the warning and assist lights, it sounds like you might have a bad batter/alternator connection. Possibly loosened something when your burned out.

Just my .02 cents.

Id still check the compression and what not.

Yeah, it did a nice little burn out nothing big not even 5 pounds of boost. Then shit on its self

^unless youre at the track warming the tires up and trying to get some traction there really is no point to doing a burnout, especially with being fwd other then trying to show off or be "cool"...

but that being said what youre describing and whats been suggested already is exactly what I would guess, your altenator sounds like its shitting the bed from you describing all the dash lights coming on and like stated above also, I would check compression and do a boost leak test just for ease of mind.. just my .02

I had very similar problems with my GSX. Tach was going crazy, lights were flashing, accessories were acting up etc... Ended up being one of the wires coming off the alternator rubbed up against the o2 sensor and partially melted it. Simply zip tied it out of the way and replaced the 100amp accessories fuse that blew.

I'm going to get my alternator tested now. So I guess I'll find out if its bad here in alittle bit I heard if its not the alternator than it can be something in the computer.!! Ring a bell to anyone

Put a brand new alternator on the car the problem is still present. The tach still goes crazy after you get up to 2500 rpms and it still sputters I'm only getting 12.54 voltes from the alternator and about the same from the battery
