just got my innovative mtxl, im using the front o2 location im still really new to tuning and link i have v3 my question is can i just hook up the yellow to pin 4 and the brown not sure which pin the brown is instead of running o2 simulation in link.

If you're using narrowband sim, hook the yellow wire up to pin 4 and use the software to do the simulation. If you're running a gauge, you can hook the brown wire up to it, after reprogramming it via LM Programmer to output the same signal as the yellow wire.

am i cutting the wire for pin 4 and just hooking the yellow up to it and them just hook up the guage normally

So if I'm going to be running v3, I hook up the yellow wire to pin 4 and the brown(nbs) and white wire( for dimming) are to be left unhooked and v3 will do the nbs for me? I'll be using front o2 spot. And by hooking up the gage normally stated in the earlier post is just referring to the red and black wire right?

As long as you tell it to do the narrowband sim for you, yes that wiring will work. The white wire has nothing to do with the narrowband sim though.

If you aren't using the dimming feature, the white wire needs to be connected to ground. You can twist it together with the black wire and ground both.
