I read somewhere that oil fumes can cause the octane to decrease and I definitely have some oil in my intake. But how bad does it decrease octane? To the point where it can induce 14-20 counts of knock?

Do you still have the oil breather line off the vavle cover going to the intake pipe? If so, TAKE IT OFF!! LOL, the turbo will suck oil through that oil breather line causeing sticky oil in your innercooler and pipes. Either get a catch can from RRE or just put a breather filter on the vavle cover, make sure you plug the hole in the intake pipe though.
