Logger question

I've had my car about 5 years now. Guess it's time to get a logger and do some upgrades. Is this a good deal? Will run about $100 counting shipping.

The logging cable and software will run you $25 shipped off ebay. Go through Craigslist or or ebay to find a Palm Pilot cheaper than $55. My entire setup was $40 (I got an older Palm IIIxe for $15 off Craigslist from a local guy.) YRMV
