high egt temp?

My car runs between 1100 and 1300 deg far. in town and 1300 to 1550 on the open road. Is this something to be worried about? My a/f showes it to be between .40 and .60 volts and my timing is set right. If it is high, what can I do to fix it?:confused:

Your egt temps sound normal to me.
 
In town I do between 30 and 40 mph in 4th and 5th gear and 70 on the highway in 5th gear. My timing is set to 7 deg. when you ground out the check termanal on the fire wall. I dont have a timing advance gage that tells me the timing is while I drive though.
 
I wouldn't peg it if I were you, since anything past 1600 is dangerous. And if you're off the scale you have no idea exactly what your temps are. That's also why I like that my gauge reads to 1800. Now I know that I have a problem at higher RPMs, since at 15PSI was reaching 1700 on WOT runs. I turned the boost down and am now doing fuel mods as soon as I can.
 
I was always under the impression that 0.90 volts (give or take 0.05 volts) was where most people tuned thier turbo. If that's the case then you're incredibly lean. That's questionable and more experienced turbo tuners could correct me if I'm wrong.

What I do know is that a lean condition raises temperatures. If you have any way to manipulate fuel pressure or injector pulse width I would at least increase the amount of fuel to cool down the cylinder head and cylinder until you know for sure where's it's supposed to be tuned to.
