What kind of HP can the 255l pump support on e85.
I can put in 1600cc injectors but really don't want to wire up a second pump.
I do have an aftermarket FPR.
This is on a 2.3L engine with an hx40 btw.
I'm sure everyone will say the 255 isn't enough but does anybody actually know this for a fact.

I made 502hp on a 255pump on ethanol and 1600cc injectors. Run a low base pressure and the walbro will flow more at higher boost levels when it's in demand. I run a 30psi base pressure, vacuum line off.

There is a product out there that will put a constant 16v to the pump. It made the 255 flow near 300lph. It was pretty insane but I just cant remember the name of it.

Like i stated you can make a 255flow alot if you run lower base pressure. As the boost rises the fuel pressure rises and the 255 drops flow at higher pressure so you need to lower the base pressure to make up for it and keep pressure at high boost.

Ok here's something I never understood about volume and pressure.
Everyone says pump X flows 200lph at 40psi but at 70psi it only flows lets say 100lph so keep the pressure low.
Now here's the part I don't get.
The FPR is really just a restriction in the return line after the injectors and what creates a low fuel pressure psi is this restriction being open and really not a restriction.
So really what's happening is the pump is flowing a lot of volume but 80% of it is just going right past the injectors to this return line, so what good does that do?

Then at a high psi the FPR is near closed. Now the pump technically isn't flowing a high volume because it can't move that wasted fuel back through the return line.
So instead you have a technically low volume but all that pressure is backed up against the injectors and when they open the potential there is for 80% of that fuel to get forced through them and not the return line.

So can someone explain why a low psi is good even though that volume is really just wasted fuel going back in the tank?
