I don't know if it will help but 1G turbo cams should work in the 1G 2.0 NT, and I pretty sure they are an upgrade. But arn't you going to get a Turbo?!

The new car isn't in the cards this year. I'm already taking out student loans for tuition and expenses and crap. I figured if I could do lots of small inexpensive crap to my car and make it a little faster (or just sound and look fast, total rice car.) then I could sell it to some moron for more than it's worth and put all of that towards a Turbo AWD one.

Thats cool, Goblin I thought you where looking into getting one sooner. And MuttedTSiAWD I like your little movie thing.

1G AWD's aren't very expensive. I would save your money and put it towards one.

I didn't see you were NT, Sorry those are for turbo cars.

Later,

Yeah, the only problem is finding one that doesn't have 140K Miles on it, or doesn't have serious problems. Mild problems I'm confident I could fix, but when people say "burns oil, smokes black and dies intermitently" I don't think I could fix that without neglecting homework to learn how to repair  Plus I'd really like to have a 2g.

About the cams, thanks, and thanks, I'll keep looking.

I got my 1g awd for $1000.00 Pretty good shape, needed a new timing belt, plug wires, thermostat, etc, all things that SHOULD be done before you go modding, and the turbo had some play. Oh no I have to get a 16g.... and really, I like 1 g's better.

Well aparently a new DSM is in the cards this year. I'm going to get a 95 or 96 TSI this fall (don't ask how I got the money it's bad enough I'm going to have to try explain it on my taxes or make it just disapear:laugh: ). I like the 1gs but lets just say that the 2gs just do a special something for me  Besides I'll be keeping my 1g NT as well so when I have the new tsi torn apart I can still get to school.
