SO I'm not too sure of the difference with Studderbox or Anti-lag but I came across the 2-step box from MSD at a local shop and noticed its size.

To me it looks like a simple device and uses ohms resistors for RPM selection. I figured a dial for a radio from radioshack would work. But what would the rest of the process be.

And if I did buy this MSD 2step how would it be hooked in?

I have a friend whos really good with electronics we could probley fab something togather maybe even offer it for sale.

thanks,
Kendel

You might be able to. I haven't the slightest idea how, or if the MSD box will even work with a DSM. Here is what they are, to the best of my ability You would have found this info if you had searched.

Stutter box, 2 step(?): Pulling up to the line the clutch is depressed which sets a lower rev limit (normally anywhere from 3-5k or more). The driver then floors the car, bouncing it off this new lower rev limit. Can build boost, but how much or if at all will depend on many factors including engine paramaters, turbo size, tune, rev limit, etc.

No Lift To Shift, NLTS, Flat Shift: After the car is rolling another new rev limit is introduced for clutch in conditions. This one is normally higher than the stutter box limit. While the driver has the clutch in and is moving this new rev limit is engaged and the driver is then allowed to keep the car wide open while engaging the shift.

Anti lag, bang bang: The tuning of fuel, spark, cam timing, or all 3 to put extra exhaust energy into spooling of the turbo during off throttle conditions. Often accompanied with very loud popping and snapping, which is hy it is known as a "bang bang' system. The nature of this system is very hard on turbochargers, and it is almost exclusively used in racing only.

Often times people call one the one, or the other the other so I hope I didn't get the terminology wrong. My opinion is that your best bet is to sell the box and get DSMlink or a stand alone which will do at least the first two, if not all 3 of those with computer controlled software.

If you must use the box, you could use the two step with a clutch switch and a moving or not moving switch between to different resistor values to come close to having stutter box and NLTS.

The MSD 2-step box is an add on for the MSD ignitions for single coil distributor type ignition systems. All it does is allow you to have two different rev limits, one of which is activated by a switch. (It can't do anything without the MSD box.) None of this applies to our cars. The simplest way to do it is get a DIS-2 box, which already includes a 2-step rev limiter.
