I'm having a problem with my Maft set up. The main problem is everytime I floored it, once the rpm reached 4k rpm, I started loosing power. It's like the car just died, so I have to pump the gas to revive it. Basically, the car just won't boost. Everytime it goes close to 4k rpm, eighther: 1-it will bug on half throttle and 2-it will die when you floor it.

But when I installed the old 2g maf sensor back, it runs fine. Now I couldn't figure out if it was my maf translator or the GM maf. I also have 1 spare GM maf but it does the same when I installed it.

Now this is not where the story ends: I am running the AEM water/meth injection above the GM maf and looks like both of my GM maf got wet. I activated the injection too early on the boost. This is why I'm hoping that it was just my GM maf.

Now here's what I found out. I datalogged the run and I see my airflow count goes up soo fast without the boost at aroun 4k rpm where I dropped the power. And the hertz goes up as well. The count is on 8 and the hertz is on 1600hz and my inj is on 14ms. So

So basically the way I see it, the maf sends out a huge amount of air in a sudden and cost the injectors to inject too much fuel. It's why It dropped the power before boost. Those reading that I just said was the reading that I used to see on full boost (25psi) when it was running fine.

So basically the whole maft set up is screwed up. But the question is, Is it the maf translator or just the GM maf sensor?

Does anybody had this experience before? I hope somebody can help me out. Here are my set up. Thanks

90 Eagle talon TSI
2G maft (I use to run 2g maf, so I kept the connector)
AEM Water/meth injection
Tunerpro chip tuning
Apexi SAFC
1000cc injectors

I'm sorry I didn't get this? My SAFC is all 0 right now since I'm tuning my car with a chip. The SAFC is just there for fine tuning. My car runs fine just last week, till last night. I didn't change anything. It just happened. Like what I said, when I installed the 2g maf back it runs fine, boosting good, just out of tune now.

Is the GM maf goes bad when it get wet?

Try searching piggy back on piggy back air/fuel controllers. You are hitting fuel cut because of the two systems are jacking your air flow signal to your ecu.

In the event that "Getting stuff wet" is what caused your problems then you should be able to retune your car from scratch. If any one piece of your electronics was destroyed by water then your ride wouldn't run at all. The only obvious thing to try is to unplug everything and dry out the connectors with compressed air.
