will a palm data logging cable work on a pc to log with with ! does anyone know of any other sources than pocketlogger.com !

ok another question, what if i just got a obd2 to serial cable would that work or will the computer not be able to see the iso protocol !

If you want to log a 2G with a PC, your best bet is pick up an OpenPort(Tatrix) cable and the EvoScan software.

It uses the MUT protocol which allows you to log knock and other good stuff. The only bad is with a 95 ECU you only get ~10 samples/sec, which is about the same you get with a OBD2 logger.

thanks ceddy but were do i pick up a tactrix cable ? see what i was wanting to do is use a ostrich with tuner pro rt and use another cable to log with on my pc and i also have a palm emulator to run the palm logging programs but i don't know if i need a palm logging cable then adapt it to the pc or another cable ! if any one knows of a easier way to tune and log at the same time on a pc PLEASE let me know.....

tactrix
Don't get the new 2.0 cable, the software is working with it yet.

If you used EvoScan, you can log knock and injector duty cycle, etc. ; and also you can hook up a WideBand to it and log A/F ratio also. So for this you would need the Tactrix USB cable and and a open serial port to log wideband.

For the Ostrich you need the Ostrich setup and a second USB port.

I don't know what your goals are, but DSMLink is another option to be able to tune and log real time.

I would suggest you stay away from a OBD2 logger. Not being able to log knock or injector duty cycle really makes things hard. And a wideband is a must if you don't already have one.

i still can't find the cable on the tactrix site, will a pocketlogger cable work on the pc ?

Tactrix OpenPort 1.3U Universal for Mitsubishi and Subaru

OpenPort 1.3U is the one to get. You can get them on the EvoScan site also.

The pocketlogger cable would probably work if you use null modem adapter on the cable and use a palm emulator for the software. Not 100% sure though. If you are just getting a OBD2 logger, there are easier and cheaper setups.

hey ceddy, i appreciate all your help.......
so is 99.00 the cheapest i can get a openport 1.3u cable or any data logging cable and can this work with palm emulator software on my pc if i don't like some of ther pc logging software. ! so you recommend evoscan for pc logging software...... do you have any updated bin and hex files that you could hook a brother up with for my 95 tsi like the nlts and launch studder box. anything would be neat !

will this cable work ! what protocol do the 95 ecu use i heard iso !
