We just got done installing my s-afc into my car (93 talon tsi awd) and we used http://co.dsm.org/tech/1gecu_harness.html. And the diagram in the Apex'i book for a 93 Eclipse didnt match the colors in the my car. We used the page that descirbed the colors (http://www.jgronline.com/gvr4_afc_instructions.html) to match up with the http://co.dsm.org/tech/1gecu_harness.html site. The colors matched up. So we wired it using both, now the car runs like crap when started, the rpm's dont wanna go over 1k. We checked the pink and orange wires and they are fine. The car is on Karman, 4 cyl, pointed northeast. Anyone install a s-afc on a 1g and have problems with diagrams? All the connections are soldered.
Any suggestions? We are checking all connections right now to make sure we did a good job.

Thanks, any suggestions will be helpful.

I used the vfaq.com instructions and it worked fine--double check yours against those (one of your links above didn't work). If there is a discrepancy (there wasn't on mine), I would go with pin positions over wire color. Be sure you are looking at the right side of teh connector (wire vs. pin) when choosing.

I used the Vfaq instructions for my 2G and it installed fine.
