so i changed my knock sensor
i changed my know sensor it was completly gone there was no goo left in it. but the car still knocked, so we messed with the timing, set the timing back it didnt knock but once i hit about 5psi it knocked like crazy. so we changed what we were logging, and looked at the o2 and it would flat line and stay at 0 so we unpluged it now the car runs better and doesnt really knock more then like every now and then like 4-6 counts, but i need to rewire my fuel pump ### i think that is part of the problem too

I guess you need a new o2 so the car computer can obtain the proper a/f ratio's. I too replaced my worn knock sensor with a new OEM and still had plenty knock. I'm still working on that issue though.

yea I am also having the same problem, I just bought a new knock sensor to see if that helps. But no matter what I do with my timing I will get knock. Also it doesnt go past 43counts of knock.

i dont think it will mine never went past 43 either, but how tight is your knock sensor? and retard your timimg alot and its shouldnt know as long as your dont boost thats what we did, but when we boosted it knocked, check your o2, injectors, and everything else. but if your car is your daily driver just retart the timing alot like move the cas like 1/2" back. it shouldn't knock as long as you dont . what type of gas are you using?

I wouldnt recommend someone to retard their cas to decrease timing... Its just a bandaid.... Lower the boost or dont boost until you figure out the issue which would likely involve getting a wideband and control over your ign timing maps thru the ecu..
OP your knock sound ok now though... Sounds like you had a AFR issue....FWIW, i ignore any knock under 5counts on my own car and would consider it a good tune still... If it doesnt exceed 10 counts i dont think your hurten anything at all, these are very stout motors.

At idle my AFRs are around 14.8-15.3, but when I build boost my AFRs are around 10.5-10.0 only pushing 5psi

Sounds like rich knock....I take it you've already done a boost leak test right ? If not thats were you start.

it cant go past 43 but id bet its alot higher, as for moving the CAS 1/2 in... are you nuts? that would be like 20 degrees.

93 octane no knock to 25psi....
OP, check to make sure ya knock sensor isnt loose, its highly possible that you have bad case of phantom knock...
Filling with race gas could help identify whether the current knock is real or not.
