98 gsx bucking at 4xxx rpm

Posting this for a friend 98 gsx bucks at 4 grand for a minute and then stops doesn't happen at 5 grand or at any of the other higher rpm's. This has been happening since he's hooked up the avcr. Yes he did hook it up right before anyone ask's. He wants to put on his t3/t4 turbo but he's worried something might get screwed up. Can anyone give me any idea why this might be happening?

I HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS SOUNDS LIKE TOO MUCH FUEL DOES HE HAVE A NEW AFC? OR TRY LOWERING THE BOOST FIRST ?

I had this prob with Bosch platinum spark plugs. If he is running those get some ngk's instead

Check the spark plugs and wires.
