I have a non turbo eprom ecu out of auto 92 93 and i was trying to find out if its worth anything. I searched and only found one thread and he also didnt get any answers on the subject. I have no use for this ecu and would like to get a little cash out of it but i dont know if it will be useful to anyone.

As far as the chip is concerned, yes. You'll be able to change injector size from the stock 240's and get turbo fuel and timing maps. But the ecu still doesnt have a knock board, that's not part of the eprom chip. So no it won't work.

If it works it's worth something just for the port expander. That's the chip that interfaces the EPROM to the CPU. That's what I usually buy them for.

The circuit board is the same as the turbo cars but it's missing some parts like the knock board Rob mentioned and the solenoid drivers but there are also differences in the injector circuits and how the board is configured. If you have a donor turbo board they can be converted but it takes a few hours. Once you count the cost of the non-EPROM turbo ECU and the time it's a pretty expensive path to a turbo EPROM ECU.

The programming differences get addressed by changing the EPROM. Same as on any turbo EPROM CPU.
