Will a 2g tsi auto awd ecu work in my 2g tsi auto fwd as long as i match eprom?

What year is the donor cars ecu and the car its going into? They should be swap able without any issues as long as they are both 95-96 or both 97-98. I am assuming they are both early models if they are eproms.

I have a 2g ecu for sale over in the classifieds if you wanted to try it out before you buy something and it doesn't work. I am about an hour away or so. lmk

One other question...My old ecu was destroyed by my isc could i see the damage done to the ecu?

well i took mine apart today and it looked fine is it possible that it could still be bad allthought i dont see it?
