first off...my check engine light is on....and my car won't pass inspection. I have recently just had a new head put on...and the guy where i had it inspected said the car was runnin rich on emissions... and secondly when i go full throttle the car boggs down....it's almost like it's hitting fuel cut...it runs better when i'm at like half throttle...i was thinking it might be clogged injectors of my fuel pump...but i'm not a mechanic.....can someone please help me out... thankx 4 your time
 
do you have a pocket logger or EGT gauge? if so then monitor that as you lean the car out on the top end.. sounds like your just running dog rich to me, and maybe the CEL is due to a bad cat or bad o2 sensor?
 
I would first try just replacing your fuel filter if that doesn't work then you should replace your pump Go after market like a cheap walbro or something you can find them for $110 at Darksideracing.org. That should solve your problem. You should also think about going to a local paint shop and buying some tolulean( Not sure on spelling) Mix it about 1 gallon to 5 gallons of 92 pump gas this will clean your injectors which will help performance. Hope I helped

one thing i have found to claen injectors good is wynns 3 step formula , it comes w/ all you need including hoses , oriface, and so forth it goes for like 35 dollars, also new head ???? check your timing a timing problem off by one tooth will cause a DTC!!!!
 
i wanna thank everyone for your help...i had everything checked and my AFC was way off....someone must have played around with it....also my injectors were really clogged.
 
If you have a CEL on.

Go to AutoZone. They do Free Diagnosyic test now. I did mine 2 weeks ago 5/25/02) Found out it was my rear 2nd O2 Sensor was bad.

Well after checking it out, it turns out it was unplugged. The harness goes into the car under the driver seat under the carpet. Took 2 second to plug it back in but took me 2 weeks before I bothered to check.

Dealer want $70 to check the CEL. What-ever.
