1G Coil Relocation
We are trying to relocate the coil pack because one of the spark plug wires has to twist almost double to get around the fuel pressure regulator, and it eventually shorted out.
We got a new set of Magnecores, extracted the coil pack from under the manifold, and now we can't get the car to run right. We haven't mounted the coil pack, because we just wanted to see if it would run with the coil pack out. We've tried grounding the coil pack, but nothing seems to work.
Are we missing something? Any advice on relocating a coil pack? What are the grounding considerations?

I know this is going to sound stupid, but have you double checked if the plug wires are in the right coil. I just relocated mine to the strut tower and I missed two of them, it ran, but like .

Got a pic?
We got it running, so the wires are in the right place
See Let It Rain, Let It Rain, Let It Rain
and look at the first pic

I also mounted my coil pack off the strut tower plate since I have the same regulator, havent had a problem with it for the last 2 years its been there.
