lood thumping when under load

I wonder if anyone could tell me what it sounds like if your fuel pump is weak or about to go out.
My car makes a loud thump when under full throttle, but only at the top end of second, and a little in third.

I've never heard of a fuel pump thumping! Are you sure it isnt your drive shaft? Have you done the mod to fill the carrier bearings with silicone?

Its a rithmic deep thumping when I floor it in second, as soon as it spools up and hits full boost it starts. Then it will only do it a little in third, but not at all in first, fourth, or fifth. Its a fast rithmic thump, thats all I can say. I thought maybe my rear lsd, but I have no clue!
