i have heard from some people that i don't really need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. but I'm not quite sure. i have a supra TT fuel pump, 650s, and the stage 3 eprom chip. am i really going to need a fuel regulator??
and if so what one would you guys recommend? thanks

Is the pump rewired? I would suggest one it makes tuning easier due to the fact you can keep the pressure down to where it should be. I would suggest at least getting a fuel pressure gauge to be able to see what kind of pressure you are getting. Another option is if you don't want to spend the money on the regulator you can tell Jeff over at dsmchips what pressure you are running and he can adjust the chip for that. But like i said you would be better off getting the regulator and doing things the correct way IMHO.

yea thats what i thought... i already have the chip so i cant change it. but other than that i think i just might see how hard it is to tune with the chip, pump and injectors. and from there decide if it is worth it. Thanks!

anyone esle have an opinion???

He won't do that if he know that you have a big pump and no AFPR. He'll tell you to fix your fuel pressure overrun problems first. Now if you have a correct setup and want to raise your base pressure he can adjust the injector global to match but he can't fix overrun in the chip anymore than you can with a MAFT or SAFC because the problems caused by overrun aren't linear or consistant.

So fix you fuel pressure problems with a AFPR and go from there.
