i did a search for this allready and couldnt really find what i was looking for. my question is if you put the 93 eprom ecu into a 90 that didnt have the eprom will i just have to switch 6 and 14 on the harness and thats it?? NOTHING else will need to be wapped out or anything?? im running a vpc, afc2, 93 eprom ecu and i have the buschur C.O.P. i also have the auto meter tach drive for my shift light but im nto sure if i need it on the 90. my problem is i cant get the car to idle and i dont know if its just my settings on the vpc/afc or one of my sensors on my throttle body is bad, not shooting any codes. just put a new motor etc in. and i have the 6/14 wires swapped and couldnt find anywhere on here if im suppose to do that w/ the eprom ecu. or just dod that and nothing else. thanx in advance. steven

It's all been documented here before.

'90 cars will need some modification to the ignition circuit for a functional tach when using a 91+ ECU. The simplest changes are to use a '91+ PTM to provide the ECU with it's tach gate signal as shown on the DSMChips site.

Pins 6 and 14 need to be swapped on any change involving 90 and '91+ cars and ECU's since the two pins changed locations between 90 and 91.

im not running the stock tach though, and i have a tach drive. so my question is or maybe im just wanting to make SURE that ALL i need to do to correctly run the 93 ecu in my 90 is to switch 6 and 14 wires around correct?? being that the car wasnt a eprom car before i put this 93 eprom ecu in wont make any difference correct?? thanx for the help...steven
