I am havin problems with my car breakin up at higher rpm....last night i went out with scanner and monitored my airflow....it would peg to 1534hz or so and then bounce around once it would break up....how much does the stock 1g mas flow???....it hasnt been hacked...honeycomb gone but thats all....can anyone help???

are you knocking? maf overrun is a possibility... i was experiencing it at 15 psi up top, but that was with my small 16G. I was getting 15+ counts of knock and my O2s (which you should never tune by) were fluctuating. The 1G mas can start "skipping" hertz counts at 1600+ hz leading the ecu to believe that there is less airflow than there truely is.

yep, i am knocking....it will do it either way...i have phantom knock sometimes...but last night was cool and the most knock i got was 4-5 counts..O2 voltage is abit high at .92-.94.....with as much as 22 degrees advance...so its not a timing issue...the weird thing is that since i got my supra smic it made it worse....but i guess it would flow more air then the little stock one....it has been doing it for awhile but did get alittle worse after the intercooler install....i still ran a 12.8 at 109 shifting at 6000rpm...cause it will break up over 6....help...
 
I'm also experiencing mas overrun at 15psi on a small 16g with lower honeycomb removed and adjustment screw backed out. It happens after 6000 rpm, airflow will stay maxed out at 1604hz on my logger but injector pulse width will take a nose dive when overrun occurrs, causing knock sums in the teens.

The upgraded intercooler will only make the problem worse since you'll be flowing more air through the mas. The only way to cure overrun is to hack your mas to allow more unmetered airflow through the lower chamber. You will need some type of fuel control to richen the fuel curve after doing this. Check out this link on doing a moderate mas hack,

You can also upgrade to a 2g mas which will acurately meter air flow to a much higher limit or a Maft and GM maf as stated above.

thanx for the info....i wont hack my mass air cause i am already close to maxin out injectors...dont want to run any leaner...have gm mass air just need translator...thanx
