Question Simple race gas question

question is: if with my current setup, i hit fuel cut at 16psi when its 70 degrees out and 93 octane in the tank, will running streight race gas allow me to run over 16psi? say around 19 or 20psi if nothing else is changed?

If it won't allow me to run higher boost on race gas, then disconnecting my dump tube and allowing small amount of unmetered air into the intake will. but how safe is this and has anyone done it on race gas?(iin this case i only plan on running 19-20psi)

current mods:
50 trim with all supporting mods
stock 450cc injectors
rewired 255 pump
fmic
rest are in profile

any takers?
any replies are appreciated!

Stock injectors and not even an safc to tune with? You call that full supporting mods?

If you think pushing MORE air through your maf will rid you of fuel cut you need to do a little more reading.

Fuel cut is brought on only as a matter of airflow as the ECU sees it. It doesn't care what gas you're using.

Thumbs up question answered

thank you. i didn't know if the o2 sensor was playing a roll when at wot and on race gas. i didn't know if race gas would be read differently by the ecu.

again, thank you

least of your worries right now is fuel cut.. and i would actually be happy with fuel cut considering those injectors are probably maxed out.

datalog and get bigger injectors. you sure can't run a 50 trim with stock injectors.

You NEED something to tune and log with, if you dont have anything set the boost to 9psi.
Youre lucky youre getting fuel cut, its the only thing stopping youre pistons from turning into puddles of metal goo..

yeah, wow. Logger & AFC are needed pronto. Wouldn't hurt to get some 750cc injectors either.

With 550cc's and an Evo3 16g, I ran 22psi (EBC problem) for a tiny bit. Turns out that you're running 102% injector duty at those settings.

450cc's on a 60 trim at ANYTHING over wastegate pressure seems like it's asking for trouble.

I definately appreciate your concerns. I know i need some fuel controlling device, logger, and bigger injectors. However, the setup that i have now works really well. The 255 rewired fuel pump provides plenty of fuel to the stock 450's. I been running 16 psi for almost 2 years now and can't even count the number of 3rd and 4rd gear pulls that i have done with no problems. This psi is not even in the turbo's effeciency range and it actualy feels a bit weaker then the big t28 did. I have an egt and AF gauges so any extreme lean conditions would be visible. I got my ebc set so that it doesn't spike. Boost jumps to 15 then slowly comes up for the last psi. I have no doubt that i am running safe. In fact, it is still running a bit rich.
Thanks for the advice though! I am now that much more compelled to get the fuel mods finished
