Ok Now I Have Had It, I Figured My Car Was Running Like Crap And Boggin Down At Full Boost And Wot, And Why Everytime I Hit Any Boost At All It Would Sputter And Not Go Much Faster, I Figured It Was The Coolant Temp Sensor Cause I Got The Ecu Error From The Datalogger, So I Replaced It, Now Thats Fixed And My Check Engine Light Stays Off, But Its Still Doing The Same Thing, I Must Have A Freakin Boost Leak, What Else Could It Be?

oh yea , i was lookin at my intake setup to look for leaks, the only thing that i can see that air could be gettin out is there is these 2 hoses stickin out of the intake , like a 5-6 inches past the airfilter box, theres the top one and a bottom one, the top one is closed off, the bottom one is like a metal thing stickin out looks like there is suppose to be a hose connected to it, but its just sittin there wideopen, i took it out and its not closed off, could this small thing be giving me a boost leak? i mean its before the turbo so idk how it could make a huge difference" should i check all pipes going from the turbo to the throttlebody?

IIRC, One of those goes to the purge canister and the other to the valve cover. If they are unconnected they should be capped. Having them open isn't a boost leak but it does allow unmetered and unfiltered air to enter the intake and will cause the car to run leaner.

By now, we hope that most turbo owners understand that you can't locate anything but the grossest boost leaks visually. You have to pressure test the intake at your typical boost level to make sure nothing is leaking and that the intake holds the pressure.

YES, that is part of your problem. That open tube in the Intake after the filter but before the turbo is causing you to suck in "unmetered" air, and making your car run like crap... If that was missed until now and that is pretty obvious to see, than you better read up on the VFAQ site and make a boost leak tester and go from there... If you can cap off that hole, it might help out a bit.

Good luck

ok well i fixed the coolant temp sensor, and i fixed the put the vacuum that goes from the intake to the head, and still boggy at boost, WTH IS GOING ON!

You were told to pressure test in your other thread, you asked for help and I told you to come by and I'll teach you how to pressure test. You told me you will call this afternoon to tell me what time tonight and no call no show. Here you're opening multiple new threads asking the same questions pretending you were never told to perform a leak test. WTF :toobad:

im sorry but ive been having problems here, i havent even had time to worry about my car much, im sorry i forgot to call man, but i was a bit busy today trying to figure out some other shit thats goin wrong on this piece of crap car, now my oil leaks from somewhere, idk what the hell is going on, im just so disappointed with how many problems this car can get in 1 day, but im gonna figure out the oil problem, then if your still intrested in helping me ill be glad to come to ur house so we can get to the bottom of this boost leak

Do some people insist on disregarding the Signature Rules, And Type Their Posts With Every Word Capitalized? :toobad:

How old are those sparkplugs? What make? Platinum? Iridium? How old are the wires?

well i ran into some other god damn problems today, my motor is leaking oil, i went underneath , it looks like something is broken but im not sure yet, my oil filter was loose, but i dont think its comming from there, idk how i can have so many problems at once, my car must have been leaking oil at cause my car started ticking, and for some reason i think i hear something spinning in my motor, i think my motor is shot now..,

I know on the 2g's there are actually 2 coolant temp sensors. One to feed the gauge and one for the ECU. If the 1g's are the same and you replaced the wrong one :notgood: .

One of the 1g guys can tell you if there is one or two coolant temp sensors.

Just something to check.

I think you need to realize that the car is not a piece of shit, you just have no idea what you are doing. Stop posting useless crap and get off your ass and go work on your car. All the time you spend complaing could be time spent learning and working. Do you think we all learned by coming on here and whining to everybody else to wipe our asses and change our diapers. Hell no, we read all of the information that is available on this site and many other sites and we apply that knowledge to real world applications. Boost leak testing is outline in at least 50 threads on this site, you have an oil leak and your oil filter is loose....hmm put two and two together and realize that oil is probably coming from your loose oil filter. You think that everything is going wrong with your car at the same time for no reason? There's something that I like to call "vehicle maintenance". You think that if you ignore these problems that they are just going to go away? You have so many threads going about how crappy your car is and the problem is not the car it's you. My car has never gone 20 seconds with an oil leak or a boost leak, or any other kind of leak. If I notice a problem I fix it immediately or I don't drive my car. I guess if your engine is ruined it might teach you a lesson. Any kind of leak can cost you a ton of money if you don't get off your ass and fix it.

I think i can help you. On a 2g, when you get the coolant temp sensor code, its your #1 o2 sensor that is bad so check your o2 voltage on your logger, i bet its not cycling or not reading right.

****ps: to whoever gave me negative rep points, what was the point? I know its for a 1g, i meant that maybe its the same on a 1g, doesnt hurt to check when you have done many things and still cant find the problem.
