i'm just finishing up doing the swap on my 90 galant gsx and there is one main thing that i'm hung up on. i ordered my new maft and everything for the setup to run.
now the stock n/t maf has only 6 pins where as the turbo maf has 7. the two things i'm mixed up on is are the two maf plugs for the n/t and turbo 1gs different from eachother because the plug for my maft is a little wider and clearly will not plug in. i've got the wiring figured out for the 7th pin i just don't know how to connect the two systems correctly. do i have to go snag a turbo 1g maf pigtail in order for it to be 'plug and play'?
the other thing is that same plug only have 5 of the wires going directly to the plug. then there is an extra long white wire which i understand where to connect that but the instructions for maft don't mention where the second purple wire connects.
can anybody try and help clear this up so i can get this beast running?

What i did was cut the right side of the plug off (if you are looking at it on the MAF side)so it would fit into the MAF receptical, then ran a wire from the ecu for the 7th wire of the turbo maf and put a small spade terminal on. It worked great. Hope i explained it well.

i think i get it. so the turbo maf plug is bigger (wider). and you cut part of your stock n/t plug off so it would connect in. right?
