Hey guys,
Loggin my car at 17psi with my current setup, 14b, exhaust, maf-t, fmic, always gave me timing from 18-20 degrees advanced .. Along with really low INJ DC's, I imagine because of how much leaned out the maf-t is at WOT.
I added a 2g fpr, and changed injector insulators (cracked to hell), and decided I would take the boost to 19-20psi, well at 20pounds it pulls really nice for a 14b, NO KNOCK whatsoever but I have like 25* degrees advanced timing..
How can i remedy this... I'm still a bit of a tuning newb although I seem to always make it a lil faster everytime i play with it. :D

Well 25 degrees advances w/ no knock at 20psi is good. Although very weird for a 14b, never thought it could pump out that much, even w/ a fmic.

I'd lean it out a lil more till u hit about 15*, just make sure your base timing is set right at 5*BTDC.
 
Ya, I wont be leaning it out more, that will increase timing.. my base setting is at 450cc injectors, and my wot knob is all the way leaned out for that base setting on the maf-t.
Interestingly enough, I am only seeing 80% DC"s max on the stock 450s...
I think the car is pretty much set now for the track, I will be adding race gas and maybe bumpin the boost up a lil as it seems even at 20psi I have a lil room for increase.

i think your boost gauge is off.
 
18psi should be the max you should run on the 14b anything after that is worthless but your welcome to try on race gas.

Dont think so, its always been fine and accurate from 9psi, to 19psi before this...
The reaosn I believe my duty cycles are so low is becuase the maf-t is leaned out 20% at wot.
 
The best way I could ever get timing down was to install an afpr and turn pressure down. Then I was able to richen the afc up to get the timing to come back to 20-21*. I have since installed a keydiver chip with compensation for injectors so I need not worry with it any more.
 
80% dc is really low for that much boost. It doesn't make sense that you have it leaned out so much with that much boost and not having any knock. At 19 psi the 14b is so far out of it's efficiency range it's just pumping tons of hot air. Leaning it out seems like it would cause lots of knock. I agree that your boost gauge is probably off by a bit. I ran a 14b at 19 psi with a big front mount and 550's tuned with 11.2-11.7 a/f and was about 85% dc. It wasn't much if any faster than 16-17 psi. Now race gas is a completely different subject. You will notice an increase in power if you lean it out a bit and turn up the boost with race gas.
