alright, trying to finish up my car. I gotta get it tuned and what do i use to tune it with? what is the best way to go about it? I have heard that i need a S-AFC but not really sure on all this tunning stuff... Still learning. Gonna be running bout 15-20 pounds. Walbro 255, 550 injectors. If ya need to information. Any help would be appreciated... thanks :thumb:

I think a Maft and gm mas would be a great starting out point for you to learn to tune with..I'd mention a Safc but they're not the easiest thing in the world to play around with if you don't know what you're doing..

well im not tunning the car myself. Im taking it to the dino and let them tune it for me. If i get the s-afc will that be enough to tune the car or do i need something else. My car is the 420a not the 4g63 so do i need to do anything with my ECU?

15-20psi on a 420a? Hope its built.

If you're running what you say you are going to, you likely will be able to get by with a 190lph no problem, get the 255lph if you want. 420a's dont use a MAS like we do, so the MAFT is out of the question. Try checking out the Non-turbo sections of the DSM boards, they generally will have more of an idea of what it takes to work with a 420a. Really it completely depends on the particular setup that you plan to go with. 15-20psi is an arbitrary number without knowing the temperature of the air to go along with it. 15-20psi on a T25 is not the same as 15-20psi on a 50trim, extremely different mass flow rate differences, and therefore completely different fueling demands. Like I said however I would start with the non turbo section of the boards, whether here or on DSMtalk.com, and get an idea from them on what it will take.

I hadn't even noticed that it was a 420a..I'd also hope that your tuning is dead on precise while running that much boost if your motor isn't built..

Thanks man, my motor is built for this. I found a block for sale that had forged pistons, rings, new crank, etc... I have the hahn stage II on my 420a. its the big 16g turbo. Very nice kit :thumb: ill check out the non turbo forums... if you can help me out anymore i would gladly appreciate it thanks guys :dsm:
