Edmonton,
My buddy is interested in getting an safc II, but for now only has a K & N, boost controller, and boost gauge. Wants to know if an safc II is worth it and will make much of a difference without major mods. we will be tuning with datalogger, then on the dyno. thanks.

If he has no fuel mods, then basically it is pointless. If he plans on modding the car then yeah I would say it is worthwhile but he could spend 200-300 dollars elsewhere.

Edit: His car will make no additional power and has no feasible impact on the car just by throwing a controller on his car.

1gs do run alittle rich..

Wont make a diffrence in proforance though.. waste of time / money.. enless u will be doing fuel upgrades.. injectors.. bigger fuel pump.. etc..

I know at over 2.1 g/rev, 2G run at 9.5:1 based on the stock fuel maps. I think on a 1G it coudn't be much better.

Therefore I think you can definitely see some gains by leaning thing out from 9.5:1 to 11:1. Plus you'll already have a tuning device should you decide to upgrade later.

well he is definetely thinking of upgrading later, 190, and 550's. bt i was just wondering for now because i was looking at ordering like 4 or 5 of these at once for me and my buddies. but i guess well see.
