yeah i know about the redline thing, and i'll be doin that tomorrow, i have to goto washington so i'll get a chance for sure, i was just wonderin if anyone could say anything about how thing's look with this info for the moment..

i suppose its okay, but there really isnt any point until you take it to redline, thats when the most stress is put on your motor and when your comp goes into an open loop. o2 should be .92-.94, timing should steadily climb and obviously no knock :p

okie dokie, i'll have a log in a few hour's to post up.. so all i really need to post is RPM, O2, injector duty, timeing advance and knock?

got my new log, any ideas and opinions are appriated :D

Ok, that was a little bit of a PITA to view 3 windows but I got the point. :p You seem to be leaning out uptop especially the 4k-5,600 range. Add some fuel there (say 2% on the AFC) and another 1% > 5,600rpm to redline . Make another log and see where the knock stands.

BTW, your car is running hot. :|

sorry about the three windows, i dont know how to post it as a whole yet.. and i dont see how it could be running too hot, the rad and stuff is brand new :| but i'll take a look at it, thanks for the tips ^_^

Yeah, 213*F is just above the boiling point of water at sea level. Try flushing the system, getting another thermostat, check for leaks...something. Your coolant shouldn't really be going over 206*F even after beating on it. Mine doesn't and alot of my friends cars are at around the 197-201 after some spanking. Just an observation from your log. Your car will even get better timing if the ECT is below 206*. Good luck. ;)

alrighty, i'll check all that tomorrow then, i probaly should have done it today when i got a bug up my ass and installed an entire new stereo system... i get like burst's of energy to do stuff, LOL.. this is my first DSM so is there a place on here i could find that has the step's to properly flush the system? i'll look into the thermostat too, i remember when i blew my rad in my honda i needed a new one for some reason..

i know the system doesnt leak at all, so i should be good there..

i have a sneaking suspision that my fan's arent turning on, i started the car and let it idle for a while and it got all the way upto 216*F and the fan's never even switched on.. shouldnt they switch on before this? if so would it just be best to route them to a switch or somethin and just have them on all the time?
