2G Technomotive/DSMLink compatiblity?

I just getting ready to send a '95 EPROM ECU to Technomotive to get their mods, but I was wondering if DSMLink is compatible with what they are doing, or if I should just consider going with DSMLink, what do you guys think?
 
Well, I was going to have Technomotive do their entire mod list. I really liked the gauge mods, the "stutter box" function, A/C cutoff, and launch RPM. They don't have the security, display codes, or speed sensor mods completed for the 2G yet, but say once they are finished with the beta testing you can request a new EPROM at no cost.

Does DSMLink offer everything Technomotive does? I have read their site completely, but it didn't look like it.
 
Damn, I hate when I have to choose between pruducts that both have qualities I like, but one does not have them all.
 
DSMLink has everything. Gauges, total tuneability (something TMO doesn't come with), code flashes, stutterbox, logging, etc. It also has a feature which flashes the CEL when you get a knock count higher than 5. Plus, the basics are in java so there are a million new aps, screens, etc being made by people to use. It's really is an awesome tool. If you have an AFC or anything, you can sell it to recoup some of the cost too.

If I could describe DSMLink in a sentence, it would be the equivalent of the VPC/AFC combo (keeping the MAS though), a TMO logger, and the stage III TMO mods.
 
Well, I am sold. (as soon as I save up a little more fundage) DSMLink it shall be!
 
I didn't know if one could be programmed over the other without losing the previous mods.

How could it even compare with a VPC? VPC and MAS uses two totally different way to determine air.
 
Basically, you will need two different chip to hold different. They (at least the TMO) used "windowed" EPROM and can be erased.

The VPC has adjustments for Response (how much fuel is initially squirted, Gain (fuel correction throughout the rpms range) and idle (fuel correction at 700rpms). The AFC does correction at certain rpms.

When I said it would be the equivelant of..... I meant tuning wise by the END-USER. The DSMLink has a global setting for fuel (Gain), the equivelant of Response (can't remember the name they use) and also has an adjustment for idle (Idle).

I never meant for what I said to be taken as the DSMLink is a VPC. The END-USER tuning portion of it is similar. If you could combine the END-USER tuning of an AFC/VPC combo and incorporate the TMO STage III into it along with logging capabilities, you'd get the DSMLink.
 
TMO does NOT allow the adjustment of fuel/timing/rpm limits/idle speed!

If you have a 2g, DSMLink is THE ultimate tuning tool.

TMO is a basic logger package with some neat tricks like changing your boost gauge to do timing advance, getting rid of fuel and boost cut, etc. You still need an AFC, VPC, GCC, etc etc.

Yeah, DSMLink does it all, is standalone and requires nothing else. No AFC, no nothing..

If you have a 2G and want the best tool available, get DSMLink.
 
You were saying that people are making new java aps. Is there somplace they post them for download?
