Hey guys...I'm a newbie so please don't make fun of my stupid questions...I just got my pocketlogger and I logged my first run. I have a stock fuel system. And here are the results:

RPM Timing O2
2572 9 .22
2708 5 .82
2908 4 .62
3076 5 .96
3184 7 .86
3256 8 .26
3548 8 .10
5076 9 .04
5816 -2 0
4332 17 0
3692 9 0
3680 34 0
3572 34 0
3392 34 0
3152 34 0
2864 34 0

The timing and the o2 doesn't change until I'm back down to 1144 RPM...at this RPM the O2 is .84 and the timing is 14. Now I know at WOT the timing should be around 20 and the O2 should be around .98. Please can someone tell me what is wrong with my car. What can be the cause of these abnormal numbers? Also, do these numbers mean that I'm running lean? Please help...thanks guys. By the way.....I'm running 12 psi of boost.

Like I said, I'm a newbie....so what caps are you talking about, and is this easy to do by myself or do I need a professional? Oh, and those numbers mean that I'm lean right? Thanks for the reply, Mike.

Is there anything wrong with the car? Belching smoke.. bogging?

Looks like you didn't got WOT or lifted your foot off the gas.. Find a place to do a complete 3rd gear pull from 2500-7000 or 2nd is fine I guess but keep your foot in it. You are missing data from 3500-5076RPM. Your not going to see 20deg @ 5800 in a stock 2G... Pay no regard to o2's if your not @ WOT. They are only a reference point. Your Timing looked normal for a stock 2G (its always lowest approaching 5500 or so.. after that is when the good stuff starts happening (ADVANCE) You lifted and started decelerating right at the point the ECU was about to give you some timing.

Log again and post it up.

Open the menu and select Byte Timing, Run a Byte Timing test on your logger with an interpacket dealy of 50. HIgher samlple per second will give you more accurate logs.

Good luck,

Actually, my car is an automatic. I don't know if that would make any difference. And, no, I don't see any smoke or bog or anything. It just doesn't feel like it's accelerating to its full potential. Also, is it normal for the car to have O2 readings of zero when I'm going at a constant speed of like 80mph (at around 3500 RPM)?

Thanks for the link Mike. How is this log? Any better? Does it still look normal?

Looks like you're getting knock 3100 to 4300 but the o2s seem fine. You should have it dynoed and tuned.

BTW I haven't tuned a 2g so listen to the other guys that's just my opinion.

[edit] Nevermind, you don't even have a turbo I bet everything's fine.

your timing looks good

does 0.0 for o2's mean that they are going over 1.00v?

you want to shoot for a 92-94

That part doesn't look correct at all, o2's should stay somewhat steady at WOT

The o2's from 3312 on look pretty scary but your timing kept advancing so it looks like good in that respect. I assume this was a decent 'feeling' pull. That is very unusual that your O2's would "0' out like that, did it go over 1.00V (RICH) after 4604 and not copy right?

Your O2's should cycle @ Idle and while cruising @ 80. What does your Long term fuel trim read @ idle/cruise? Watch the Short term (next to the 02) when your @ par throttle, under50%, does it shift to some positive number, stay around 0 or go into negative numbers.

I'm very curious to see how things look from 5800-7000. Log 2nd gear pull and peg it! T 25 I assume.. what boost setting?

My O2 has never gone rich when I'm at 3500 RPM and above, but it does cycle when I'm idling. And no, those numbers are not copied wrong. Everything is correct. I will log fuel trim and TPS for you guys soon. Yes, my turbo is stock, and I'm running stock boost at 12 PSI.

what do your EGT's look like?

My EGT is around 1350-1450 cruising, and when I'm stepping on the gas or going up a hill, it can reach 1600 and maybe more because my gauge limit is 1600.
